Sell your goldin person.Above spot, fixed in writing.

Gold Collect buys gold bars, gold coins and silver bars from private owners worldwide. We are building a long-term reserve, so we pay a premium above the live spot price. The price is agreed in writing before we meet, your metal is tested in front of you, and payment reaches your bank within one to three business days.

  • The price is fixed in writing before anyone travels: the live spot price plus our premium. Nothing is deducted at the table.
  • Every item is weighed and tested in front of you, and you sign a purchase agreement listing each piece before it leaves your hands.
  • Paid by bank transfer within one to three business days, or keep the value in gold on your Gold Collect account (coming soon).

How a meeting works

Five steps. You stay in control of the first four, and you can stop at any point before you sign and keep your gold.

  1. Tell us what you have

Country, city, the type of metal and a rough weight. We do not ask for your address at this stage.

  2. We fix the price in writing

You receive a written offer: the live spot price on the day, our premium on top, and the total for your items. Once you accept it, the price is fixed whatever the market does before we meet, and the collector cannot change it at the table. You also receive the collector's name and ID number.

  3. We test in front of you

Weight, dimensions and a non-destructive purity check at the table, where you can see every reading. No acid, no scratches. If anything differs from what you told us, we say so and you decide.

  4. You sign, we sign

A purchase agreement listing every item, its weight, its fineness and the agreed price, signed by both sides. You keep a copy. From this moment your metal is insured in our care.

  5. You are paid

By bank transfer to an account in your name within one to three business days, or hold the value in gold on your Gold Collect account and withdraw whenever you choose (coming soon).

Who turns up at the door

A named collector from our team, carrying company identification that matches the details we sent you.

  • Photo ID card and a reference numberCheck it against the message we sent before the meeting.
  • Calibrated scale and purity testerYou can see every reading as it happens.
  • A purchase agreement and receipt, signed by both sidesEvery item, weight, fineness and the price owed to you. One copy for you, one for our records.

Tested in front of you, before you sign

Every reading is taken where you can see it, and nothing is marked, scratched or taken away for checking. You sign only when the numbers on the agreement are the numbers you watched being taken.

  • Calibrated scaleWeight to a hundredth of a gram, shown to you before anything is written down.
  • Non-destructive purity checkElectronic testing confirms the fineness without acid or filing.
  • Itemised agreementEach piece listed with its weight, fineness and the price owed, signed by both sides before anything is handed over.

What we pay

More than the market. We are building a long-term physical reserve, not turning metal over for a quick margin, so we pay a premium above the live spot price. The rate is fixed in writing before we meet, and nothing is deducted at the table.

Spot means the live market price for fine gold or silver at the moment your offer is written.

What we buy

Physical metal only, from the person who owns it. Jewellery, scrap and plated items are outside what we do.

Minted 100 troy ounce gold bars on dark cloth
Gold bars

Cast and minted bars

From 1 gram to 1 kilogram, any refiner. Sealed bars with their assay card get the best rate, but a loose bar is tested and bought all the same.

Bullion coins

Krugerrands, Maple Leafs, Britannias, Eagles, Philharmonics, Pandas and sovereigns. Priced on gold content, so scratches and old dates do not lower the price.

Silver, alongside gold

We take silver bars at the same meeting, or on their own from 1 kilogram. Silver coins and rounds are quoted on request.

Questions sellers ask

How do I know the collector is really from Gold Collect?

Before the meeting you receive the collector's name, photo and ID number by message. At the meeting the collector shows the company ID card. If anything does not match, do not hand anything over and call us.

Why do you pay above the market price?

Because we are collectors, not traders. We are building a physical gold reserve to hold for the long term, and we would rather pay a premium today than compete for metal tomorrow. The premium is written into your offer before we meet.

When am I paid?

By bank transfer to an account in your name within one to three business days of signing the purchase agreement. We do not pay cash, and we never ask you for anything in return before the transfer arrives.

What protects me between signing and payment?

The signed purchase agreement, which names every item and the exact amount owed to you; your copy of the receipt; the insurance that covers your metal from the moment it is in our care; and the company details published on this page, which you can verify independently before you book.

Do I have to meet at my home?

No. Most sellers choose a bank branch, where both sides are on camera. Our office is also open for appointments.

What if the test shows a different purity or weight?

We tell you the result and the revised price before anything is signed. You decide. Walking away costs you nothing, and the items stay with you.

What should I bring?

A photo ID, the metal, and any receipts, certificates or assay cards you have. They are not required, but they speed things up.
